2. What are cookies and similar technologies?

Cookies are small files that a website stores on your device. They may be needed to operate the website, store privacy choices, compile visit statistics or measure advertising results. Browser local storage and other technologies may also be used for similar purposes.

3. What do we use them for?

Strictly necessary

We use these to provide the website’s basic functions and store your privacy choices. These technologies do not require separate consent to the extent that they are strictly necessary for the relevant function.

Analytics

With your consent, we use Google Analytics 4 to obtain visit statistics and Microsoft Clarity to analyse website usability. Clarity may collect clicks, scrolling and session interaction recordings.

Marketing

With your separate consent, we use Meta Pixel and LinkedIn Insight Tag to measure advertising campaign results and advertising-related actions on the website. Depending on the service settings, data may also be used to create advertising audiences.

We use Google Tag Manager to manage website integrations; it helps technically manage the activation of analytics and marketing tools. We use c15t to manage cookie consent.

4. Cookies and local storage entries used

We use the following cookies and similar entries on the website. The retention periods shown are the maximum or usual lifetimes of the relevant technologies; they may be shorter depending on browser and service settings.

6. How long is data retained?

Privacy choices stored by c15t are intended to be retained for no longer than 12 months; after this period, we ask you to confirm your choices again. The lifetimes of individual cookies are listed in Section 4.

Microsoft Clarity session recordings are retained for up to 30 days, while marked sessions, click data and heatmap data are retained for up to 9 months in accordance with Microsoft’s retention arrangements. Retention periods for data collected in Google Analytics 4, Meta and LinkedIn service systems may differ from cookie lifetimes and depend on the relevant service’s data type and settings.

7. Data recipients and transfers outside the EEA

When Google Analytics 4, Microsoft Clarity, Meta Pixel and LinkedIn Insight Tag are used, the relevant technical, analytics or marketing data may be sent to these service providers. Some data may be processed or accessed outside the European Economic Area (EEA), including in the United States of America.

When personal data is transferred outside the EEA, we comply with the conditions laid down in Chapter V GDPR, including applicable European Commission adequacy decisions or standard contractual clauses with the necessary supplementary safeguards. More information is available in our Privacy policy.
