This notice explains how SIA “Motify” processes your personal data when you complete the BOSI personality self-assessment test and choose to receive your individual results report.
The notice applies to the BOSI test that you can access through a QR code or a link on the website.

2. What personal data do we process?
As part of the BOSI test, we process:
- your answers to 10 questions about past experience and attitudes;
- an automatically assigned individual test identifier;
- the calculated personality profile results;
- the individual results report in PDF format;
- your email address, if you choose to receive your report;
- technical information necessary to operate the test and ensure its security.
The test does not ask for your name, and its questions are not intended to collect health data.
Your email address and test results may be linked, so this information is processed as personal data even if your name does not appear in the report.
3. For what purposes and on what legal basis do we process data?
Calculating the personality profile and sending the report
We use your answers to calculate your BOSI personality profile, prepare an individual results report and send it to the email address you provide.
Legal basis: Article 6(1)(b) of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) — performance of the service provided at your request.
Operating the test and ensuring information security
We use the necessary technical data to operate the test, resolve errors and protect the system against unauthorised use.
Legal basis: Article 6(1)(f) GDPR — Motify’s legitimate interests in ensuring that the service operates securely and reliably.
Sending Motify updates
If you give separate consent to receive Motify updates, we will use your email address to send research insights, articles and information about our events and services.
Legal basis: Article 6(1)(a) GDPR — your consent.
Subscribing to updates is voluntary and is not a condition for completing the test or receiving your results. You can withdraw your consent at any time by using the unsubscribe link in the newsletter.
4. How is your personality profile prepared and used?
Your BOSI personality profile is calculated automatically based on your answers and the test’s scoring methodology.
The test is intended for self-exploration. Its results are not a medical diagnosis or an assessment of professional suitability.
BOSI test results are not used to make solely automated decisions that would have legal or similarly significant effects on you.
Motify does not share your individual test report with the event organiser, your employer or other persons without a separate legal basis.
5. Who is involved in processing personal data?
We use the following technology service providers to deliver the test:
| Service provider | Purpose |
|---|---|
| BOSI DNA (USA) | Calculating the personality profile using test answers and an individual identifier. Your email address is not shared with BOSI DNA. |
| MongoDB Atlas (EEA) | Storing test answers and calculated results. |
| Vercel (EEA) | Operating the test platform and storing PDF reports. |
| Twilio SendGrid (EU data residency) | Sending the individual PDF report to your email address. |

6. Is personal data transferred outside the European Economic Area?
We also use a service provider in the United States of America — BOSI DNA — to calculate the BOSI personality profile and prepare the PDF report.
This service provider receives the data necessary to perform the relevant tasks. BOSI DNA does not receive your name or email address.
For transfers of personal data outside the European Economic Area, we apply the data protection conditions set out in Chapter V GDPR.
You can obtain information about the specific transfer mechanisms and safeguards applied by writing to motify@motify.lv.
7. How long do we retain personal data?
In Motify’s systems, we retain personal data relating to the BOSI test, including test answers, calculated results, your email address and a copy of the individual report, for no longer than two years after completion of the test, unless another legal basis exists for retaining it.
At the end of the retention period, personal data is deleted or irreversibly anonymised.
Database backups are retained for up to eight days.
As part of the email delivery service, message content is retained for a limited time in accordance with the service’s data retention terms.
If you have consented to receive Motify updates, we use your email address for this purpose until you withdraw consent. We may retain information about consent given and withdrawn to the extent necessary to comply with legal requirements and demonstrate the lawfulness of processing.
8. Is providing personal data mandatory?
Completing the BOSI test is voluntary.
Answers to the test questions are necessary to calculate the personality profile.
Your email address is required only if you wish to receive your individual results report by email.
Subscribing to Motify updates is entirely voluntary.
